"Change only comes about when you take action."-- L.H.

"I think the process behind any successful change in life style is consistent repetition of the change you want to make. Habits, good or bad, take a long time to form and a long time to change, but the change is strengthened each time you repeat it."--Kathy M

"I think change can only happen when you allow it to penetrate not just what you do, but the very eyes through which you see life.  When a thought comes up in your head you instantly respond to it through the eyes of the change. Change comes when you know what you want and stop resisting it. When it is so comfortable inside you that the thought of it makes your body feel good." Jerry S

"Filtering events encountered and accepting those which are compatible has an impact on lifestyles. Acepting responsibility for ones life; living not drifting produces changes in a lifestyle." John M.

"Elements that contribute to successful behavior change:
~awareness of feelings and consequences of old and new behaviors (more detail is better)
~practice of the new behaviors, especially when they seem foreign and uncomfortable (companionship helps)
~first walking a trail blazed by others who are "on the other side," until you are comfortable with your new self
~finally, one can become an artist and design her/his own way."--unknown

"I think the process is twofold--first believing that you CAN change, and second, only focusing on one small step at a time. In the past when I have tried to make a lifestyle change I have made the mistake of trying to take in the "whole picture". --if I just take in this moment I am much more successful." Kate R.

"Recognizing you want to change.
Learning to trust in yourself and your innate ability to bring about change.
Finding the tools that work for you to bring about that change whether it is a support group, resources such as this web site, schooling, yoga, church or whatever it is that can facilitate and support your efforts." --Audrey

"Change is an action word. You have to do something. If you are a Christian, you know that if you start something, take a step; He will then guide your footsteps. 'If you don't start something, there won't be nothing'". Donna Martin

"Attitude and taking one day at a time! No lifechange can happen overnight."--unknown
